Arts & Cultural Council for Greater Rochester Announces New Board Members Elected in 2003
Rochester, NY July 22, 2003- The Arts & Cultural Council for Greater Rochester is pleased to announce that the following new members were elected to the Board of Directors on May 22, 2003:
Paul Burgett (Rochester), Vice President and General Secretary, University of Rochester, Paul Burgett serves on the Board of Trustees of Genesee Country Village and Museum and the Board of Governors of Hillside Family of Agencies. He holds a Ph. D. in Music Education from the Eastman School of Music and is the author of a number of publications, essays and lectures.
Joan Feinbloom (Rochester), The Joan and Harold Feinbloom Foundation, Joan Feinbloom serves on the Board of Directors of the Memorial Art Gallery, University of Rochester Medical Center and Rochester Area Community Foundation. She is a past board member of Aesthetic Education Institute and Hochstein School of Music.
Charlotte Herrera (Webster), Community Volunteer, Charlotte Herrera is the President of the Board of Managers of the Memorial Art Gallery and a past President of the Gallery Council. She is also a past President of the Alliance Monroe County Medical Society and a Co-founder and past President of the Parent Teacher Organization at Holy Trinity School.
Richard McGrath (Rochester), CPA, Richard McGrath serves on the Board of Directors of the Rochester Cemetery Heritage Foundation and is a past member of the New York State Council on the Arts and trustee for the Landmark Society of Western New York. He is a current member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is a graduate of St. John Fisher College.
Sandra Parker (Webster), President & COO, Rochester Business Alliance, Sandra Parker was instrumental in the merger of the Chamber of Commerce and the IMC, where she served as president from 1999 to the merger in 2003. She is the co-president of the Rochester Resource Alliance, an entity which administrates state and federal job training and placement dollars for our community for its business-led model. She serves on the Board of Directors of Frontier Telephone of Rochester, George Eastman House, Greater Rochester Visitors Association and Rochester Institute of Technology, among many others.
Thomas Warfield (Rochester), Director of Dance, Rochester Institute of Technology, Thomas Warfield is the founder and artistic director of PeaceArt International and director of dance and faculty member of the National Technical Institute for the Deaf at Rochester Institute of Technology. Mr. Warfield is associate director of Kaleidoscope Dance Theatre at the New York Institute of Dance. For over 10 years he’s been vocal soloist at both Unity Church in Rochester, NY and the Chilmark Community Church on Martha’s Vineyard. He serves as the treasurer of the New York State board of the Association of Teaching Artists.
