MAYOR DUFFY ANNOUNCES CITY FUNDING FOR
ARTS & CULTURAL COUNCIL OF GREATER ROCHESTER

(Rochester, N.Y.) * Mayor Robert Duffy was joined today by City Council President Lois Giess in presenting a $10,000 check to the Arts & Cultural Council of Greater Rochester to help fund their continuing Innovation Conference Series. The goal of the on-going forums is to connect the arts and culture to Rochester's regional renewal.

"My vision for our city is one of hope, unity and commitment and our mission to accomplish this is to improve public safety, education and economic development. Arts and cultural activities are economic engines in this community and an important part of our rebirth," said the Mayor.

Mayor Duffy was the keynote speaker at today's Arts Council forum that drew nearly two hundred attendees to the Hyatt, which focused on the topic of culture and community renewal.

"I am extremely grateful to Mayor Duffy and the City of Rochester for their foresight in supporting our Innovation Conference Series," added Sarah Lentini, President and CEO of the Arts and Cultural Council of Greater Rochester. "This funding will help showcase successful community models that will contribute to the revitalization of Rochester."
