The Alliance of New York State Arts Organizations and Assemblyman Joseph D. Morelle Present Town Meeting on New York State Culture Zone Project

May 19, 2003 Rochester, NY- The Arts & Cultural Council for Greater Rochester invites the public to one of four Town Meetings statewide organized by the Alliance of New York State Arts Organizations and Assemblyman Joseph D. Morelle, Chair of the New York State Assembly Committee on Tourism, Arts, and Sports Development. The purpose of this meeting is to gather input on draft Culture Zone legislation.

This will be a pivotal opportunity for leadership of cultural organizations in Western and Central New York to learn about and influence what promises to be groundbreaking legislation for both the cultural and economic development sectors.

The Arts & Cultural Council wishes to thank the Alliance for their vision and advocacy on behalf of the arts in New York State and Assemblyman Joseph D. Morelle along with Senator Serphin Maltese for their leadership in spearheading this cutting edge legislation. Special thanks to Dr. Anthony Bannon, Director of the George Eastman House International Museum of Photography and Film, for his work in furthering discussions around this important concept both locally and at the State level.
