INDIVIDUAL ARTIST PROJECTS

ROCHESTER, NY Individual artists -- performing, visual or literary -- residing in Monroe County are invited to apply to create new work that engages the community (geographic, racial, ethnic, or philosophical community, etc).  Proposals may use community setting, involvement and/or interaction to create the new work.

Monroe County artists in all creative disciplines (music, video, theater, visual, literary, dance) are eligible to apply.  Up to four (4) $2,500 grants will be awarded to fund artist fees and any materials and supplies needed to carry out the proposed project.

The deadline for proposals is Monday, October 28, at 5 p.m. for projects taking place in 2003.

Program guidelines and application materials are available from the Arts & Cultural Council for Greater Rochester, 277 North Goodman Street, Rochester, NY 14607; on our website at www.artsrochester.org; or email gm@artsrochester.org.  For additional information, call 473-4000, ext. 211 or 203.
