2002 Community Arts Grants Seminars and Grants Writing Clinics
September 18, 2001 Rochester, N.Y. - The Arts & Cultural Council for Greater Rochester announces the Year 2002 Community Arts Grants Program. The Arts & Cultural Council will distribute up to $100,000 to nonprofit organizations, artists and government agencies for arts programming that will take place during 2002.
Two funds are available: 1) New York State Council on the Arts Decentralization Fund supports nonprofit organizations or artists in Monroe County for arts related programs that serve Monroe County residents; and 2) Rochester Area Community Foundation Community Arts Fund supports capacity building projects for arts organizations with budgets under $300,000 in Monroe, Wayne, Ontario, Livingston, Genesee, or Orleans County.
The public is invited to attend one of following three Grant Information Seminars to learn more about the program. All seminar locations are wheelchair accessible.

Also new this year, the Arts & Cultural Council will hold several grant writing clinics during the month of October on Thursday afternoons from 4 pm - 5pm. The clinics will be held at the Arts & Cultural Council for Greater Rochester, 277 North Goodman Street, Rochester. The clinics will be an opportunity to discuss proposals in more detail including designing your project, writing your proposal, and developing your budget.
