Arts & Cultural Council Announces Recipients of 18th Annual Arts Awards

September 18, 2001 Rochester, NY- The Arts & Cultural Council for Greater Rochester proudly announces the recipients of the 18th annual Arts Awards. The awards will be presented at noon on Thursday, October 25, 2001 at the Hyatt Regency Rochester.

The 2001 recipients are:

The Arts & Cultural Council will also recognize six organizations celebrating landmark anniversaries: Eastman School of Music- 80 Years, Genesee Country Village and Museum- 25 Years, Golden Link Folksinging Society- 30 Years, Rochester Museum & Science Center Women's Council- 60 Years, Rochester Piano Teachers Guild- 45 Years and WXXI-TV- 35 Years.

An 11-member Selection Committee, chaired by Michael J. Cooney of Nixon Peabody LLP and Grace Tillinghast of Eastman Kodak Company, chose the awards recipients from nominations from the community. The 18th annual Arts Awards program is open to the public. Reservations for the luncheon are available by calling (716) 473-4000 ext. 206. Tickets are $45.
