Stephen Dunn Is Awarded The 2001 Pulitzer Prize For Poetry
Rochester, NY- America's highest honor in letters went to BOA Editions author Stephen Dunn when he was awarded the Pulitzer Prize in poetry for 2001. Mr. Dunn, whose new book with BOA editions is a prose work, Walking Light: Memoirs and Essays on Poetry, won the coveted prize for his newest book of poetry from W.W. Norton, Different Hours.
Walking Light, which is BOA Editions' premiere spring 2001 release, is a collection of essays on poetics, in addition to poignant reminiscences of his childhood and teen years in New York City, his gambling father, running with gangs, and other experiences that have influenced the character and art of this critically acclaimed American Poet. Originally published by Norton, this new edition includes five new essays and a new introduction by the author. Walking Light will be Mr. Dunn's only publication in 2001.

Stephen Dunn is the author of eleven collections of poetry. He teaches writing and literature at the Richard Stockton College in Pomona, New Jersey, and lives in Port Republic, New Jersey.
