News Horses on Parade Deadline Nears
Genesee Brewing Company has announced the deadline for Horses On Parade sponsorships. Interested organizations have until close of business on Wed., Nov. 30, to submit their orders.

"So far, everything is happening faster than we expected," reports Howie Jacobson, chief marketing officer, Genesee Brewing Company. "This effort has been extremely well received. Rochester is blessed with very enthusiastic corporate citizens, as well as dedicated community organizations."

Event coordinators at Genesee Brewing Company and Dixon Schwabl Advertising are currently following up on verbal orders with written confirmations, and will issue invoices to all horse sponsors. At the same time, the Arts & Cultural Council for Greater Rochester is finalizing its efforts in identifying participating artists. The Horses on Parade kick-off party, initially scheduled for November, will be held in early Spring 2001.

High Falls Horses On Parade will involve corporate sponsorships of at least 150 available horses. To decorate their horses, sponsors will choose from a portfolio of artists and designs recommended by a local arts community review panel convened by the Arts & Cultural Council for Greater Rochester. After their embellishment and four-month stint as local landmarks, all Rochester horses will be auctioned off, with funds raised going to area charities.

From the 150 corporate sponsorships alone, Genesee Brewing Company will donate $25,000 to each of the following selected charities: Arts & Cultural Council for Greater Rochester, Camp Good Days and Special Times, Children's Hospital at Strong, Hillside Work Scholarship Connection and Wilson Commencement Park.

The Genesee Brewing Company, in business since 1878, is the fifth largest Brewing Company in America. Top brands include Genesee, Genny Light, Honey Brown, Michael Sheas and 12 Horse Ale.
