Education through the Arts Matching Grants Available for Spring 2008

Education through the Arts matching grants up to $2500 are available for projects January to June, 2008. To be eligible, projects must occur in a Monroe County school during the school day. Activities and outcomes must be collaboratively designed, planned, taught, and evaluated both by the classroom teacher and a teaching artist and/or cultural organizations representative. The projects must include both arts and non-arts subjects and address the New York State Learning Standards.

The schedule for this round of grants is as follows:

Grant Application Workshops:

Wednesday, September 26, 2007 – 4 p.m.

Thursday, October 4, 2007 – noon

Tuesday, October 9, 2007 – 4 p.m.

 Deadline for Proposals: Wednesday, October 24, 2007 – 4 p.m.

Notification of funding: after December 1, 2007

Project Dates: January - June, 2008
