Special Opportunity Stipends(SOS)

SOS grants are designed to help individual artists of all disciplines
take advantage of unique opportunities that may significantly benefit
their work or career development. Visual, literary, media and
performing artists may request support ranging from $50 to $500 for
specific forthcoming opportunities.

The Arts & Cultural Council for Greater Rochester administers the
program for artists who live in the following counties of New York:
Cayuga, Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Orleans, Seneca, Wayne,
Wyoming and Yates.

SOS is a project of the New York Foundation for the Arts, working in
collaboration with local arts councils. Funds are provided by the New
York State Council on the Arts, a state agency.
