Join the Arts Council
The Arts Council is a membership organization with three categories of membership with varying benefits and fees.

Benefits of all memberships
- Support of the Arts Council that ...
Maintains www.artsrochester.org, the one-stop cultural information and events site for the greater Rochester area
Advocates for dollars for the arts with local, state and federal government
Develops cultural policies for Rochester and Monroe County
Works to strengthen the arts in our schools
- Discounts for publications, workshops, events and mailing lists
- Free subscription to Arts e-News, weekly electronic newsletter
1. Artist Members
The annual membership of $50 is for the term July 1 - June 30.
Additional Benefits for Artists:
- Online Artists Directory at www.artsrochester.org. Arts Council artist members receive a web listing and space for one photo
- Regular forums planned by artists for artists
- Information and support services such as: Group health insurance, Grants counseling and technical assistance by staff, Fellowship and grants seminars, Strategic Opportunity Stipends, Community Arts Grants, Legal Assistance Program
2. Cultural Organization Members
The annual membership fee, based on the organization's budget size, is for the term April 1 to March 31.
If your organization's annual budget is:
under $50,000 the annual Membership Fee is $60
$50,000- 249,000 the annual Membership Fee is $120
$250,000- 499,000 the annual Membership Fee is $200
$500,000- 1,499,000 the annual Membership Fee is $350
$1,500,000- 2,499,000 the annual Membership is $450
above $2,500,000 the annual Membership is $600

- Listing in the on-line Cultural Membership Directory www.artsrochester.org
- Access to list events in the on-line Events Calendar
- Information and support services such as: Grants counseling and technical assistance by staff, Fellowship and grants seminars, Community Arts Grants
3. Business Members
Your annual membership fee, based on number of full-time employees (FTE) your business employs, is for the term April 1 through March 31. One part-time employee equals .5 FTE. (Fee is prorated quarterly for new members)
Please use the following chart to determine your annual membership dues:
1 FTE, the annual Membership Fee is $50
2 – 3 FTE, the annual Membership Fee is $100
4 – 5 FTE, the annual Membership Fee is $150
6 – 10 FTE, the annual Membership Fee is $250
11 – 20 FTE, the annual Membership is $400
21+ FTE, the annual Membership is $600
Additional Benefits for Businesses:
- Listing in the on-line Business Membership Directory www.artsrochester.org
- Discounts on Arts Council events, workshops, and conferences.
- Free admission to Arts Council monthly networking events.
- Information and support services such as: Group health insurance, fiscal sponosrship for charitable projects, grants counseling and technical assistance by staff
