The Alliance/ArtsAction for NY was formed to influence the formation of public policy in support of the arts and to increase existing resources and develop new resources for funding the arts by mobilizing constituents; building partnerships and coalitions among government officials, funders, arts administrators and other policy makers to increase funding for the arts; working with arts organizations and other to advance public understanding of issues and legislation affecting the arts; and engaging and collaborating with all sectors of our diverse society in support of the arts.
